Transitional Housing for Homeless Pregnant Women and Women in Crisis

About Us

Our History:

Bridges Safehouse was first started in 1998 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  The initial thought was to help women in crisis.  As the need for housing for homeless pregnant women was realized, the mission statement changed to transitional housing for homeless pregnant women and women in crisis.

What we  do:

On the average, we serve about 60 young women a year.  The average age of our resident is 23. One third of our residents have children with them.
We receive referrals from police depts, hospitals, doctors, churches,Women’s Resource Centers, shelters, Runaway Hotlines, Maternity Homes & individuals.
The young women we serve are given unconditional love by volunteers who come in 3 hour shifts all through the day, to spend time and share their talents with our residents. Bible study and parenting classes are provided.
We support our residents decision – whether they decide to parent or place their child for adoption.

Bridges Thrifty Boutique

Bridges Thrifty Boutique accepts donations of gently-used clothes and furniture. These gifts are then resold at thrift prices. The proceeds are used to support Bridges Safehouse.
